Martina Olivera is a Human Rights Lawyer from the University of Buenos Aires. She currently works as a Peace Observer at the NGO SweFOR Mexico. In the academic field, she has been a researcher for UBACyT and DECyT projects, a fellowship holder from the Fulbright Foundation to develop short studies at the University of Massachusetts and a scholarship winner from the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung Foundation to carry out a research visit in Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law (Heidelberg, Germany). In this fellowship, Martina investigated the transformative impacts of the Inter-American System of Human Rights, in the project “Beyond Compliance” led by Viviana Kristicevic, René Urueña, Marie-Christine Fuchs and Mariela Morales. She has worked for the human rights field in different positions: advisor on the Inter-American and Universal System for the Protection of Human Rights at the Secretariat for Human Rights of the Province of Buenos Aires, an intern and consultant for the Regional Office of the OHCHR in Chile, a short-term consultant in the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association-ILGA and a professional visitor at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights.
