The Zolberg Institute is pleased to open applications to join the Fall 2019 cohort of Zolberg – International Rescue Committee Fellows. The deadline to apply is September 9, 2019. To be eligible, you must be a matriculated student at The New School for the full duration of the fellowship.

Team: Global Supply Chain/Health Unit

Cohort: Fall 2019

Project Aim: The fellow will lead analysis of the humanitarian pharmaceutical supply chain in 1-2 country program operations as part of the broader Health Supply Chain transformation initiative. End-to-end analysis will include process mapping, data analysis, and staff feedback to identify gaps in the supply chain and determine delivery gaps’ impact on programs. This fellow will learn to navigate the complexity of a humanitarian pharmaceutical supply chain, work directly with IRC’s global leadership, and engage with country program staff and operations.

Working on this project, the fellow will build key leadership skills, including: navigating ambiguity, decision-making using data analytics, developing a business case, and collaborating with a diverse team.

Deliverables:

  • Completed supply chain analysis for 1-2 countries, identifying process gaps, resource constraints, and other obstacles

Potential travel involved: Fellow may potentially travel to 1-2 country programs being analyzed, likely in the Middle East region, spending about 2-3 weeks on-site.
