Hi everyone! My name is Lauren Rutherglen and I’m located in Vancouver, Canada. I’m currently a grad student at Ryerson University in Toronto studying Immigration & Settlement. I’m defending my thesis today on underrepresentation of racialized minorities on city council (fingers crossed I pass!). Outside of school I am currently a Youth Advocate for the UNHCR where I am focusing on media depiction of refugees in Canada. I’m hoping to pursue law or start within the political sector in the next few years. I’m excited for this course and would love to connect with many of you on LinkedIn. Cheers!
