Stony Brook University is hosting a panel discussion on Tuesday October 21 at 4 pm on unaccompanied migrant children. It is called “Children at the Border: U.S. Policies and the Making of an Immigration Crisis.”

under the moderation of Nancy Hiemstra (Assistant Professor of Migration Studies, SBU), the panel includes the follwoing discussants: Bryan Johnson (attorney, Amoachi and Johnson, PLLC, Bay Shore, NY), Camille Mackler (Director of Legal Initiatives, New York Immigration Coalition, New York, NY), Gerard McCaffery (President/CEO, MercyFirst, Syosset, NY), Mario Russell (Division Director and Senior Attorney, Catholic Charities’ Immigrant and Refugee Services, New York, NY) and Alexandra Starr (journalist, former Emerson fellow, New America Foundation, New York, NY)
