Zolberg Institute Faculty Grants 2024-2025
The Zolberg Institute on Migration and Mobility is pleased to announce the availability of grants for faculty research on topics relating to migration and mobility broadly. Awards will be given to individual projects (maximum of $5,000) and group projects (maximum of $15,000). Proposals must include a plan for publication or the production of other work that will enhance relevant academic fields and the visibility of the Institute. Faculty might be asked to present their research projects to the Zolberg student fellows once during the academic year.
Applications should be submitted with the following information to Catherine McGahan, Deputy Director of the Institute (mcgahanc@newschool.edu):
• A concise statement of the focus of the research.
• A description of the activities to be undertaken by the Cluster (2 to 3 pages).
• Expected publication, which can include journal articles, on-line postings, artistic productions, or other work.
• A project budget, not to exceed $5,000 (individual) or $15,000 (group project).
The deadline for proposals is September 16. Full-time and current part-time faculty are eligible for these grants. A current affiliation with the Zolberg Institute is not a requirement.
If you have any questions about the grant program and process, please contact Catherine McGahan or Alex Aleinikoff.
We look forward to reading your proposals. Please feel free to send this announcement to any TNS faculty who might be interested in submitting an application.
